Registration, Payment Processing and Course Delivery
In testing: If a department or faculty member wants to deliver an online self-contained program, DCE provides an automated system that handles registration, grading and certificate creation. The website application, named Automated Continuing Education System (ACES), is designed for units to offer short continuing education courses where students work at their own pace and receive immediate feedback on their exams. Credit card payments and access to specific courses are completely automated. Students may download their certificates of completion as soon as they pass all the exams for the course. Unit personnel may need to upload completions to the appropriate certifying body (like CE Broker), though this is transparent to students.

ACES will be launched after UF's Treasury Department finalizes negotiations with UF's chosen credit card processing company.

DCE Student - Continuing education registration information for UF support units
DCE Student allows central UF support units - like the Help Desk - to search DCE registration information for non-credit students not recorded within the UF Registrar's system. Access is granted on a department basis, after the head of that department certifies that all related employees have had the proper FERPA and data privacy training.

Flexible Learning - Independent study and rolling enrollment programs
Flexible Learning manages rolling enrollment programs for departments across campus. The UF academic department approves the course content and instructor, and Flexible Learning/Correspondence Study handles the rest. more info >>
Note: If a program wants to take a more active roll in managing an online program, please see the Self-funded Activities page or review the description of our automated registration and course delivery and online registration and payment processing for other services offered by DCE.
FMS - Online financial reporting application for the 143 fund
DCE's Financial Management System (FMS) provides financial reports for the 143 fund, such as Program Ledger life-to-date reports and individual document lookup. Access to these reports is controlled to the "DCE program number" level (a finer designation than UF's flexfield), with individuals only able to download their specific program's information.

XMS - Online registration and payment processing
If a UF unit is considering online credit card payments for self-funded or continuing education programs, whether for an online for face-to-face activity, it may either program against CashNet (UF's supported eCommerce application) or use DCE's online registration management application (XMS). XMS allows units with the proper PeopleSoft permission to accept online registrations and payments for courses, sections and programs at any time for any price point (ex: CTT's online registration). Extensive reporting capabilities provide everything from receipts, to mailing lists, to 1098T reports. It is tied in with the UF Directory so that UFID's may be automatically generated, granting students access to create GatorLink ID's. more info >>
MyXMS - Student access to XMS records
MyXMS allows students to log into the XMS with their GatorLink accounts to view their registrations in XMS, as well as update their contact and demographic information. more info >>
XMS Reports - report generator for XMS data
XMS Reports allows unit faculty & staff to view and download reports for their program, such as participant lists and payment/accounts receivable activity logs. This allows administors to grant access to individuals who may view, but not edit, their program's data in XMS. Access to these reports is controlled to the "DCE program number" level (a finer designation than UF's flexfield), with individuals only able to download their specific program's information. more info >>
